Fredson Alice, 36, residing near Lisbon, retired Sunday night about nine o'-clock, and
shortly after her husband was startled at hearing her coughing and choking, and
scarcely knowing what to do and fearing the worst, he hurried to a neighbor's
house, just across the lane, for help. They returned, however, too late to
be of any assistance to the unfortunate sufferer. She was already
unconscious, and in a few moments was dead. About two weeks ago she suffered from a nearly fatal
attack of bleeding at the lungs, and since then her health has been exceedingly
frail, although she was able to be up and around. A return of the
hemorrhage, however, had been expected and feared.
