Diggins Orville, 17, son of Elmer Diggins residing one mile west of this city, was found dead in bed at his home early this morning. Death, it is presumed, was the result of suicide, the boy having shot himself through the heart with a thirty-two caliber revolver. He was called by his father shortly before six o’clock to which he responded and stated that he would be ready for breakfast immediately. The father then attended to his morning chores, and upon returning to the house found that the boy was still in his room. He went to the room and found his son lying in bed dead. It is thought he placed the revolver under the covers of the bed to deaden the sound as no report of the revolver was heard about the house. The bed clothing was slightly burned by the gunfire. He was born May 25, 1900 west of this city, where he has always made his home with his parents, his mother having died a few years ago. Surviving are the father and a brother, Marshall of this city.
